Run Pirate Run!

So you probably noticed that I am trying to catch up with posts… sorry (not?)!

I just wanted to give a review for Captain Jack’s Treasure Run:

This event met all expectations.  Need I say more?  Okay, maybe I do…

I signed up almost last minute and I was lucky enough that they were still accepting registrations.  This was an 8K.  They had a free beer garden and who doesn’t love a beer after a good run?!  They had a medal.  They had a shirt and an eye patch.  I was set.  The only thing that I kinda wish didn’t happen was that they kept on delaying the start time and I was getting colder and colder by the minute.

The had this character at the turn-around point and I couldn’t help but snapped a picture with him.

The only reason I “dressed” up was because I figured everyone else would but guess what? There were probably 30% of “normal” running outfits, meaning not dressed up.  And believe it or not, this was my son’s costume from when he was 9 years old…. hey, don’t judge 🙂

I really enjoyed this run and can’t wait to do it again!
